I am very excited to read Heather R. Darsie, Historian‘s new book ‘Children of the House of Cleves: Anna and her Siblings’ which will be released some time in 2023. It is about the family of Anne of Cleves within the wider context of Europe.
This book is something of a follow up to Heather’s outstanding biography of Anne of Cleves – ‘Anna, Duchess of Cleves: The King’s Beloved Sister’ which came out in 2019. If you haven’t read it already, I urge you to do so. By putting Anne within her proper context as a European duchess, Heather reveals so much more about Henry VIII’s fourth wife, and makes sense of some of the seemingly contradictory accounts we have Anne.
